Nose job for a big nose...?

how old shall i be for a nose job? does it do its job? what's the risks?

Well my mom had a nose job when she was about 25ish

Now a days i hear it's over 18, but they its better to wait until your 20. That way your nose has done all of it's growing, because you have to be ready so that your nose won't grow once you already got the nose job.

Nose jobs are great and you will love the results IF you choose the right doctor, someone with a lot of experience so that they know what they are doing. Some doctors will show you the results before you get the nosejob.

I have never seen any risks of a nose job.

& I can't wait to get mine :]

I have a big nose and honestly never cared, be happy with yourself, but if you want to do it, first its better if your 13 or above in age, and the risk i don't think there are any for nose jobs.

I can totally understand wanting a nose job.  I had one when I was 20.  Most doctors prefer to wait until a person is over 18 though you can get it younger with your parent's consent.  Depending on how severe the problem is, I would probably wait until I graduated high school and before going into college (around 18).

Whatever you do, make sure you choose a highly qualified plastic surgeon.  Ask your own physician, and anyone you know who's had plastic surgery, for references.  Also check them out with the American Medical Association to make sure that they are licensed.

With every surgery there are risks and complications.  The doctor will go over all of them with you.  The very best nose jobs are ones that don't look like you've had your nose fixed.  It will be very natural looking.  People will notice that you look different (better!) but will not necessarily realize it's your nose.  If it's done right, it will be the best thing you ever did.  Good luck!!!

any surgery has risks, i think nose jobs are at the lower end of the scale though. honestly, don't do it, a nose (ever a bigger one) is the most distinctive feature of a face.  a larger nose doesn't necessarily detract from a person's beauty. remember the girl from dirty dancing? she had a nose job and got a very cute respectable nose but she looked far better with her old one. i'm sure you look fine with the one you've got, wait until you're in your twenties (but i think it's ok to do if your 18 +) because once you have it your stuck with it , so give it time and see if that's what is best for you in the long run. they may make fun of you when you're younger but when you get older and meet some real men you'll probably find that the teasing stops.
