Nose piercing??..........

Question

i got my nose pierced 2 months ago and now there is a bump inside and outside.. outside one has gone down alot but the inside one is getting bigger so i tried to pop it but i couldnt but it scraped the top of it... i talked to a piercer and they said i should take it out for a day or so.. but im scared if it closes up..

would it close up?? and what should i do?

i got mine done about 3 months ago and the same thing happened, i got a huge bump right alongside the stud. i searched on bmezine.com (a great piercing site) and found a solution! it's called tea tree oil and it made my bump vanish within 4 days!

you can buy tea tree oil at walgreens or gnc, its pretty cheap, like 6 bucks. after you have cleaned the piercing like normal,take a cotton swab and soak it in the oil and dab it on any bumps. do that nightly and the bumps should be gone in a week or less.

it may close up, but wouldn't you rather have that than a bump on your nose? If it closes have it redone. If you don't wanna do that change the stud to something that wont irritate it. The same thing happened to me only earlier on in my piercing and i took it out and couldn't get it back in, i ended up having it redone a couple of weeks later.

Go to a good doctor. The only way to get good help, is to go to a good doctor. And try not to touch it because it might get infected and that could lead you to some serious problems. And for your fear of the hole closing up, would you rather lose a hole that you could get again or would you like to take a risk and keep it there and let it get infected? Your choice.... i had a similar problem with my eyebrow piercing, it is probably proud flesh. this is basically where your body doesn't know when to stop healing and these sore lumps come up, they can bleed and the skin on them will come off every now and again and it will get smaller then go back to the way it was. i had it quite bad, wat i tried was taking my piercing out before showers then getting a little face towel or something and dipping one end in boiling hot water then straight away putting that on my piercing, that kills any Bactria and loosens the skin, then put the jewelery back in.

this cleared up the lumps but shortly after my eyebrow was rejected and i had to take it out anyway, so because in your case because it is a nose piercing it wont get rejected so you can try this.

Hey!!

This is exactly what I had when I got my Nose Pierced. I got mine done 2 years ago and I was scared weather it would close up if I took it out, so I didn't. What I did was I left it in there, but I used surgical Spirit (You can also use Witch Hazel and any type of sterilising liquid. You can also use Salt water) and cleaned it everyday. I left it, and I never tryed to pop it bcoz that makes it worse. It could also mean you may be allergic to what the nose stud is made out of. Gold is the best. Sometimes when i wake in the night, my nose piercing falls out for a few hours and I find it quite hard to put it back in, even though I have had mine done 2 years. Don't take it out.The lumps will go down eventually. It happens to teh majority of people who get their nose peirced.
