I pierced my nose by myself a little over 2 months ago.I have a lot of crust in the inside of my stud now and I don't know what I have to do to get rid of it.I hope I don't have to take my piercing out because I love it.Any information would really help. Thanks

  1. A salt soak will soften the crust and  wash it away and also if your nose is infected at all it will help draw infection out. Avoid picking at it or playing with it to remove crust as this might cause it just to crust more or become infected.

Check out this website for piercing aftercare:

  2. I got mine done at a tattoo studio, and all they gave me was a small bag of salt. haha, He told me to use a Q-tip and mix a tiny bit of salt with water and use that to clean it.

    So perhaps try that?

    =)

  3. Have you already taken the stud out? If not, don't.

Make a salt water soak and bathe the piercing using q tips (cotton wool buddies as I call them :) ) but be carefull to not get any material caught inside the piercing. The crust will soften and come off. Don't use anything harsh, like alcohol or peroxide. Don't twist the stud at all if you can help it, or at least not until the crust is gone otherwise you could drag them into the piercing and infect it.

Do the soak twice a day until the crust clears up :)  and make sure the stud's made from a good healing material such as surgical steel or titanium.

    Hope this helps :)
