  1. Mine didn't hurt because I did it myself and I used Ice to numb it. I would not recommend you doing it yourself though because it tends to get infected no matter how clean you keep it. After you get it done it will be quite sore for a few days but should go away in a week or so. The needle is the best way to go though because you have less of a chance of it slipping

  2. Needles are always better than guns.

They actually pierce the tissue rather than shove a blunt object through it.

You can sterilize needles, you can't sterilize a gun. Guns spread disease, like Hep C which eventually kills you by destroying your liver.

Needles are used by professionals (or should be) at professional studios. You will get aftercare instructions and sterile needles and jewelry.

The jewelry in guns is cheap c**p and the wrong shape and style for any piercing. You will need proper jewelry (provided by the studio) such as a labret post or nostril s***w.

Finally, pain is relative. A professional piercer should be able to walk you through the procedure and help you deal with any anxiety you may have in a caring and professional manner.

  3. In my opinion , it doesn't hurt at all.

As far as I know you cant use a gun, it wont fit in your nose, needles are the only way to do it. They just put a clamp on your nose and stick the needle through. I'm a really big baby when it comes to pain [ i cried when I got my ears pierced ] and I didn't think that this hurt at all

  4. Mine hurt. I had it done with a needle. I have no idea about the guns. But, the pain was worth it. You have to ask yourself is you really want it done.
