  1. Unless its an unusual, I mean really UNUSUAL, case you would be correct. Almost any blow to the head could cause death if hard enough or if there was some pre-existing medical condition you didn't know about. But the myth that you can drive the bones in someones nose up through their skull and kill them is c**p. The reason is that YOU DON'T HAVE A NOSE BONE. Your nose is cartilage. There is a bone at the top of your nose which forms your nostrils but this only protrudes very slightly and would not be something you could ram through someones skull with your hand and kill them. The nose can be a very sensitive area however and can easily end a fight. but i think you were right in your argument.

  2. No...your nose is not a bone...its cartilage to the idiots who think you can shove it in your brain...not possible, its a myth.

The cartilage in your nose will shatter with the amount of force it would take, therefore not being able to penetrate through muscle tissue, nerves, and vanes...along with the bones in your face surrounding the cartilage in the nose.

  3. i htink it can cuz it could go to the brain

  4. Yes it is possible, don't ever try it.

  5. No, it does not work like they show it in the movies.

It takes more than a small shard of cartilages piercing the brain in order to cause instant death. In order to kill someone by hitting them in the nose, you would have to break all of the bones between the eyes and cheeks.  Even the MMA heavyweights do not have enough strength to do this with a single punch.

This move has been romantisized so much in the movies that it has become an urban legend.

While in THEORY it is possible, in REALITY it is a one in 100,000,000 chance.  You probably have a better chance of jumping off the empire state building without a parachute and landing on your feet uninjured, than killing someone by hitting them in the nose with an upward palm.

  6. Not really, hit the nose hard but the cause of death would be brain damage.

  7. Yes a blow like this can cause death. It can cause hemorrhage, concussion, and death.

  8. The amount of force it requires is quite a bit, but I would expect a 200+ lb man or a world class striker, Pro boxer or UFC star could do it at smaller weights. There is a considerable amount of bone to be broken and then displaced a couple inches and the cartlage reinforcing it is pretty flexible.

  9. I've always heard that an upward nose strike would drive bone into the brain, but i'm not sure how factual that is.
