I live in Lubbock Texas and go to Texas Tech. The police have killed the party scene here. I am a minor, but i just go to bars because it is the only way to socialize and excape harrasment. I have a house and was debating throwing parties. If i lock the doors and dont talk to the cops can i get a noise violation? Will they just stick it in the mail box? How do I know that I was really breaking the law (what proof do they have that i was "too loud" ). I hate the fact only frats can throw parties.

  1. try the people who live next store to you..everyone has the right to peaceful living without loud party noises

  2. I don't know about Texas, but in Alabama if you don't answer they will break the door in. Then the charges go from simple noise violation to eluding and whatever else might be applicable.

  3. they stick in in your door :D

if you're neighbor called the police and say the party is too loud

  4. They will break your dorr down to "check on your welfare" If you can hear the noise from approximately 25 feet away then you can be ticketed. If you don't answer the door they can't ticket you because they don't know your information but if they break the door down you can be charged with fail to id fugitive from justice. If i were you keep the music down and if the law knocks answer
