He predicted that after the year with 7, in the great games, world war 3 would begin. Isn't that strange how Russia is fighting Georgia? I don't really believe in all that but I have been reading up and it is interesting.. Secondly, if www3 did break out, what country would be immune, none?

  1. Russia fighting Georgia is hardly likely to bring about the start of a world war.

  2. God just said to me that it'd just be the populations of america britain france israel and canada that will get blitzed, being that he's totally pissed at these more than any other countries because no nice people live there anymore and he doesnt really like the new tenants abusing his property.

  3. 'after the year with 7'? That's pretty vague, isn't it?

The seventh year of any decade, any one of the '70s, or the entirety of the C18th

  4. ww3 wont happen now there is a ceasefire

  5. i do believe in Nostradamus too.

but do you really think that we needed him to say that www3 will happen? seriously?

  6. Nostradamus was never right.  All of his "prophecies" were postdictions

That is the event happens first and then someone says "Oh that's what that meant!"

If Nostradamus really predicted the war between Russia and Georgia then where were the people saying stop this on August 6th before fighting began?... Where were the people on September 10th, 2001 warning us of impending attack?  IF he was so right all the time, then why doesn't anyone in the scientific field take him seriously?

  7. 1) With current technology and the political environment, my bet on "immune" goes to someone like Tonga, which is small, out of the way, and tries hard to stay away from everyone else's problems.

    2) Nostradamus might have been right, or wrong, or simply mad. The only way for you to answer this question is to learn French and do the translation work yourself. See what others have done with it. Some of it's twisted to make things fit, but there's just enough to it that it's interesting.

Also, in his burial, he requested a necklace with a plaque on it. Three Frenchmen dug him up in May of 1781, because they had heard that if someone drank from his skull, that person would both inherit Nostradamus's power and then die soon after. They set out to debunk it, being skeptical types.

When they opened the casket, the plaque was the first thing they saw. Etched into the front of it was the date in May of 1781... the date these men opened his coffin. As the first man drank, he asked with every bit of sarcasm: "Where's the magic ball that will kill me?"

Just then, a stray bullet  (as a "magic ball" in this case was a lead ball, which was from a musket) struck the man, fired from half a mile away in the fracas of the French Revolution, piercing his heart and killing him instantly. Interestingly enough, the English word "bullet" comes from French "boullette" which means "little ball".

Nobody has either support or debunking for this story, so it's unknown how true it is. It could be just an urban legend, or it could be real. It is, however, proof that when people want to believe, any amount of proof will do... and when they don't, no amount will suffice.

  8. Finally,World War III !!!

  9. Nostradamus was so vague and abstract each of his 4 line verses could mean a multitude of things!

  10. 2012 is the end of the world....duh

No, i dont believe in all that hooey, although nostradamus is a total badass.

And i do like his odds, somehow i think china and usa are getting together now better then ever...and as long as we stand together nobody would be able to tear us down. Just got to watch out for those idiots and nukes...but besides that we are good to go

  11. Nostradamus has never actually been right yet, and he never will be. He was just a fraud, and later frauds use his verses, particularly the quatrains in "Centuries", in scams. They mistranslated them and twisted them to make it seem that he predicted events centuries before they happened. Prediction is valid only if you predict something before it happens, but they always do it after something happens. There are wars constantly, not just now, and none are leading to World War III.

  12. he was about as right as left is!

  13. Nostradamus was a poet.  Everything he said is taken out of context and used as if he were a prophet.  A similar example is this;  Have you ever just broken up with someone and  you hear a song on the radio and its so amazing how that artist said EXACTLY what you were thinking and what was happening?  No, N'Sync nor Bob Dylan is psychic, that just happens to be the way poetry works.

As a side note, most of Nostradamus isnt and "exact" translation.

  14. Nostradamus wrote his "prophecies", or quatrains, in a mix of old french, latin, greek and hebrew, so not only is it difficult to translate correctly, and as he intended, but they are so vague that the same prophecy could mean over 100 things. One set of quatrains has been used to prove that napoleon, hitler and stalin were all the antichrist, or a manifestation thereof.

Russia Fighting Georgia does not = World War 3. Which quatrain is the one you're referencing? I don't believe i've seen it.

World War three will probably be fought with the same weapons as the war in Iraq, as no country would be stupid enough to use nuclear bombs, due to the long term effects and the inevitable public outcry, and no-one can predict which countries would get involved.

Finally, the olympic games 'have' been so beautiful? Nice bit of time-travel, there.
