Nostril retainer advice?

I'm getting a nostril retainer as we aren't allowed piercings at school, however, i have to choose between 0.8mm gauge and a 1.0 mm gauge, i have absolutely no idea what this means, help please?

The gauge size is how big the pierced hole is.

All jewellery for piercings is measured in mm.

The best thing to do if you're not sure is to go back to your piercer and ask them what gauge size that they recommend for your piercing.

it's the size of the piercing (the hole)

It the size that you were pierced at. I think most nose piercings are pierced at 1.0mm. If your not sure ask your piercer.

Its size difference, go to your piercer and he'll recommend one to you.
