  1. Listen to whatever music gets your adrenaline pumping before the match or practice or what have you, then when you are rucking or mauling, have that music going on in your head. For me, I do well when I have a constant soundtrack that is going thru my mind. It can make you feel almost like an action star (as stupid as it sounds, it works).

It has been proven that yelling, or at the very least grunting, actually causes the human body to put forth more effort and energy. Plus, if you've got a loud yell, it scares the c**p out of people. It's about getting back to the primative state of mind.

I had a marine once tell me rugby is the closest thing to combat in the civilian world, or something like that.

  2. listen to music before the match to get pshyced up ... here comes the boom by nelly or lose yourself by eminem are good ones.

watching battle movies before a game works too, when i watch troy or 300 im dying for some violence

step on your opposition props toes in a scrum coz h**l get you back and youll get aggressive towards him and use that for your game

    good luck

  3. Find something that annoys you then always think of that before a scrum or maul or ruck. Agression comes with age as well so dont worry.

  4. Just get stuck in and when you need aggression, think about your coach telling you you aren't aggressive enough.

Clear the bodies out the way for your team mates, it's a team thing.

It'll come in due time, it's better that you can control yourself and turn it on at will than be a hot-headed psycho.

Maybe if a maul or ruck develops think, this is my time, get in.

Good Luck, enjoy the game :)

  5. get angry about sumthin gosh
