Not Being Able To Suddenly See?

This morning when I woke up, I was really thirsty, so I went to the kitchen to get a drink. Then I felt like I was going to throw up, so I ran to the bathroom. I didn't throw up, but when I came out, I was very dizzy. Then I started to see dots and then I only saw blackness! I started freaking out a little bit and I don't know how I ran into the counter with my back in the kitchen, but I did and I fell to the floor! I don't know how long I was there, but I couldn't see for a while. My sight finally came back and I got up, still dizzy and a little in shock. Why did this happen?

  1. You had a syncopal episode. Many possible causes: dehydration, low blood sugar, seizure, arrhythmia (the list is long). The point is that if you had an episode of true loss of consiousness you need to evaluated by a doctor soon, because youre not safe to drive until you know what happened. What if this happens behind the wheel? I think you should go get checked out in an ER today.

  2. I completely agree with Vixxy. Have someone drive you in to get checked out. Being dizzy is one thing but completely blacking out needs evaluation to make sure something more serious is not going on.
