Question:

Not Getting Group e mail?

I was out of town recently and changed my email delivery of two groups (I'm a moderator at both) to no mail. Upon my return, I changed back to individual email. The first day, I got no email at all. The second day I got ALL email from the previous day at once. Now I am getting a few sporadic emails but no where near all that is being posted. I am not bouncing and my settings are all okay. I sent a post through email and it showed up on the main page but I did not get an email back for my own post. Will it just take time to get back to normal? Any suggestions? Thanks much.

  1. I don't know about lately, but many, many times in the past it's been not at all unusual for email sent to a Yahoo Group to reach the group's website pretty quickly and the individuals' Yahoo accounts hours later, occasionally even the next day.

I used to moderate a site (not on Yahoo) which dealt with problems via a Yahoo Group, and we learned that if you wanted to stay current about ongoing problems, you had to go to the site, not just your email.

  2. Maybe never, I gave up trying two years ago to receive the posts, membership changes etc. on  a group I founded more than nine years ago to my Yahoo mailbox.  Now I receive everything in my Outlook Express  account. which I  joined  with that address. In Yahoo I receive  moderation requests and that's it.  Good luck maybe you can get yours straightened out.

  3. it's a server issue- to know whose server issue, yours or yahoo, you'd look at the mail header.

yahoo has a history of on and off again mail delays

    you can report it
