Question:

Not Getting the Respect he Deserves?

I really think that Roger Federer is not getting the respect he deserves. I know that Nadal is really becoming a force to reckon with and i respect that because it is good to see some new talent ( his grass game). Yet people still forget that Roger has 12 GS compared to Nadals 4. This may be a low blow to Nadal but you do have to admit that Roger Federer has been dominant in Tennis for a while. A little while ago he lost an emarassing match to Nadal on Clay but do please remember that clay is Nadals Surface. Roger never lost on grass for a long time. Nadal may be dominate in Wimpledon this year but Roger still has better stats. I do think that Roger will win because he has more win for. What do you think.

  1. He gets plenty of respect he`s #1 in the world !!! Roger thinks he`ll win wimbledon for the next 5years !!! lol And no-one says how arrogant he is!!! Everyone knows Fed is still the best player in the world.

  2. roger is the best

  3. Roger does get respect...but its just tht the media and some players like Borg go out and say Federer is finished everytime he loses..That I think is because ,

    1) The media dosen't realise the pressure of winning so

    many tournaments.

2)Borg's  reason is simple-He dosen't want Federer to break his record at Wimbledon...atleast the way he talks indicates that.(no offence-just my opinion)

  4. True, but to be called the best of all time many people expect him to win Roland Garros, which he has not done and will not until he beats Nadal. Yeah, but it's kind of not fair because Sampras never even made the finals of Roland Garros. If Nadal weren't around destroying him on clay then he would surely be considered the GOAT by most.

  5. I think that Roger Federer does get the respect he deserves. There is no argument that he is one of the greatest champions in Tennis.

It is just that Rafael Nadal is becoming more and more powerful and is equally well respected. It may be that grass is Federer's forte and Clay is Rafael's, but both have reached the finals of Roland Garros and Wimbledon respectively. I treat that as an achievement in itself. Federer continues to be brilliant, but Rafa is being noticed more and more....and honestly, I think it will be unfair if either one's achievements are not acknowledged.
