Hi! My boyfriend is a football fanatic and I am really not looking forward to football season. In my experience I have really been bored by and disliked the sport. My BF says he is going to teach me what is happening so I will like it, but how else can I get pumped up for the season? We have agreed to watching it all day Saturdays and Sundays and he will take me out on those nights to make up for it. Please give me tips and a pep talk as to how I can get excited about the upcoming 25 weekends. Thanks!!!

  1. huh

  2. Been there!! HAHA! When i was lil, my step dad had to watch every football game on tv! I got so sick of football! I hated it!

So now my bf loves football! SO once again i was stuck watching it if  i wanted to spend any time with him on the weekends! So i decided to ask questions and learn the sport. If theres a call or something happening I don't understand, I ask!

This has been for the past 3 years so now im a football fan!

Just ask questions so you learn the sport! Once you learn it and understand whats going on, its not near as boring!

  3. I didn't always like it either.....I was more into basketball. But,my entire family are fanatics so....I watched & asked questions. Now,I really enjoy it.Try and pick a team and learn about the players(that might help peak your interest?) I don't want to get into the whole fantasy football thing...but,I am in league where I just pick what teams are going to win.So that makes the games I could care less about more exciting!!!!!! Good luck...hope it isn't a looooooong season for you:)

  4. Pick up a football periodical (such as SI, ESPN the Mag, Sports Weekly etc) and read an article about preseason football. Pick out one name of some that the prognosticators think will do well. Go to your boyfriend and say/ask him, "Do you believe what _____ is saying how _______ will do this upcoming season? Your BF will be shocked and he will take you under his football knowledge wing instead of toting you around like a trophy or (in you case) a casualty. This will make him want to make sure that you find the game just as interesting as he does.

  5. well the top 5 teams in college football are

                                                              1.Georgia Bulldogs

                                                              2.Ohio State Buckeyes

                                                              3.USC Trojans

                                                              4.Oklahoma Sooners

                                                              5.Florida Gators

  6. Well it depends on how balanced your life is. If you have plans with friends very often and have a part-time job, then you should probably just not watch those football games with your BF and let him do those things with his friends. If not, then follow your heart. Find what you want, because if you really just don't like football then you don't have to watch it because you only have 1 life. But there are plenty of boys out there for you to date.

  7. if you don't like that's fine but you cant get use to it any like  it for what it is then call it quites my girl loves football and caught on to it right away...i had to help her a little but just pay attention i guess! good luck

  8. He's probably going to take you to a sports bar and grill.  That way he can fulfill his promise and get to watch the late game too.
