Okay, i have a $1,000 cell phone bill from verizon and a $989 cable/internet bill from a local company.

What would happen if i just didnt pay the bills. Could they take me to court? I dont really care about credit score its going to all go away in 3 years and im only 20. Most of this stuff came at me at the same time when i was 18.

  1. that is immoral

They will hound you.  They will ruin your credt

They will take you to court

    they will garnish you wages

It stays with your credit for 7 or more years.

Pay your bills.  Don't be a low life deadbeat.

  2. You should pay your bills. They do Credit  Check for every thing now,

  3. You are immature and it shows. How can you, with good conscience, think that skirting your responsibility is even an option?

    You are disgusting.

  4. Yes they can take you to court.  If they do then you will pay court fees also most likely.

  5. You don't pay your bills you will end up in a heap of trouble, one way or another. They'll give your file to credit collectors, they'll bother you to death. You decide to go bankupt: not so easy to do either because that costs money too., the depth of that pit never ends. Find a way to pay your bills.

  6. Based on your age let me put this into perspective...Say you want to buy a new(or used) car, the best of the best, or coolest thing out there...You will be denied based on the money you still owe. Believe me this will follow you for 7yrs in and ruin chances to rent a nice place or buy something you really want. Set up a payment plan and get rid of the debt.

  7. disconnection,  and goes on your credit report for like ten years...

  8. first they will shut off your "stuff".

You can call them and try to work something out first...most will especially in this day/age.

Not paying them will also keep you from getting other similar services w/out a huge deposit.

  9. They can take you to court and get a judgment to garnish your wages. Pay your bills. It will also follow you around for 7 years. Do you really think you won't need an apartment (most do credit checks), car or anything like that in the next 7 years?

  10. Thank you so very much for not bothering or wanting to pay your bills. It makes the rates increase for other consumers who pay their bills. It's 7 years to come off your credit score.

  11. With an attitude like yours, they will probably lock you up for 12 months, with hard labour.

  12. If you don't pay they will put you into colection and possibly take you to court.  You wages may be garnisheed to pay for the debt.

  13. be careful!  they could garnish your wages or they could take the money from your bank account using skip tracing or "right of offset" (meaning they have the right to take the money since you do owe it)  they could take you to court, but doubful for less than 2k.  you could call them and tell them you're willing to make payments to no longer be in the rears.  a lot of times they will understand and take some of the balance (late charges, over limit fees, etc) off in exchange for some of the payment.

  14. I owe Verizon 600 and they just did a charge off but it will be on my credit for 7 years not 3.

  15. 3 years? Try 7 years. And they can (and probably will) take you to court. You'll pay one way or another.
