What would happen if I did not show my greencard when entering the USA and I have a UK passport?

  1. you can still enter for 90 days on the VWP.  but if you have a PR card then why would you not show it?, it means you can stay here with no limits, it means you reside here.  im not understanding?..did you lose it or something?


  2. The green card is tied to your passport, so they should find it when they call up your passport on the 'puter.  They will wonder why, having a green card, you didn't produce it instantly along with the passport.  Be prepared to answer hard questions about what the dickens you are up to.

  3. You need to show a proof of residency (or visa) when you enter the US. The UK passport wouldn't work, unless you use it as a part of VWP (visa-waiver program) and enter the US for up to 90 days as a tourist. UK is one of the countries that participate in this program but even then VWP travelers are screened prior to admission into the United States, and they are enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security’s US-VISIT   program. So you need to take some steps before your trip because you cannot just show up at the border with the UK passport. Read the links below for more information.
