Not a p***s question... but help?

I have got dry skin and a bad rash on the neck... not s*x disease as I never did a thing with girl... seen doctor... but tried steroid creams (prescribed medicine) and won't work... any tips to make it less itchy??

Your doctor said to use steroid creams?  If the rash is a fungus, try Lotrimin or some typical athlete's foot cream.  I had a rash on my junk, for no good reason, used said cream, and it went away in a few days.

If it was just a regular doctor (GP) and nothing he gives you works, get him to refer you to a dermatologist. They'll be able to help a lot better.

Prescribed steroid ointments should help.  (the oily ointment keeps your skin less dried out than the cream does)

You might want to try putting vaseline on it at night between steroid courses (don't use the steroid ointments more than a week straight) to keep it from drying out and using a good moisturizer on it in the morning (Eucerin or Lubriderm work well for me)

There are also some antihistamines that you can try that might dull your body's response to the irritation.  Check with your Dr on this.

You might also want to look at what laundry treatments you are using.  Try free/clear detergent and softener (or no softener) and no starch on your shirts.

And look at softer, looser, less irritating collars and shirts.  No wool or other itchy materials.

Eczema is a skin disorder that doesn't really go away. Your body has to outgrow it. If you're a teen, then you may outgrow it before you end puberty. Just keep the skin moisturized all the time so it doesn't get scaly and itchy. I have a severe case of eczema and have been prescribed creams like that. They won't really work, but will be temperary aid. The best thing to use is Eucerin lotion or Aloe Vera Gel. Keep applying it as much as necessary. Hope this helps.
