Not able to hear sound from all speakers for philips home theatre 5.1 hts 3000 when connected to TV.?

Is anybody having the above mentioned system. i am able to hear sound from only 2-3 speakers when conntd to the TV. Can somebody help me out.

you might be able to set the receiver to a different mode like 'theatre' or 'hall' or similar, this will then put sound through each speaker. do you connect through digital sound or through analogue?

May be ur cable operator or ur disk does not support 5.1 channel audio output, or ur tv may not support. TV audio signals are basically in stereo with maximum 4 tracks

Nothing wrong with your system, regular TV at best broadcast in 2 channels only not 5.1 like HDTV.

Try changing your listening mode from Dolby Digital to Dolby Pro Logic l or ll , when listening to your TV, this should help with surround sound.
