Not able to install win Xp

Question

After I formated my computer am not able to install WIN XP
I have bootable disk.
Hard drive has 4 partitions
earlier we have win xp in c drive and win 98 in d drive
had formatted these two drive only

when starting to install xp
it successfully copies all the system files
when it reboots to go to the windows setup
computer hangs at the window xp logo
tried too many time

Please suggest
