Question:

Not catching stitches / bobbin correctly

I had my machine service not too long ago. They did correct all the tension and cleaned the machine. I was working right along and broke a needle, so I changed the needle and it was working fine. Then bobbin thread runs low (not out). so I take remaining thread of bobbin and fill it back up. Problem is now I can't get the bobbin thread to catch. I've assured the need is not bent, is inserted correctly and threaded right. I thread the bobbin as shown. Just won't catch. I do notice when I take the bobbin plate off and watch the machine work there is no movement at all. I'm assuming that the machanics are suppose to move the bobbin thread toward the needle so that it can catch. though I'm not an expert, I'm just surmising. Anyway, I'm getting really frustrated. I've cleaned out he bobbin area.. I just don't know what else I can do? Does anyone think retiming would work? How do I retime this machine?

Any help sure would be appreciated!
