I have an ex who is obssesed with me and we have broken up for a year ago now. He told me he loved me and he told me he wanted to marry me. (We had been together about 2 years) Now he has websites dedicated to trashing me without ever saying my name (such as puns about anything he knows i like, Personal things such as my favorite movie, animal, catch phrases I say) I stalks my personal information from friends, internet, (even though it is private, He is very good about hacking accounts.) I know this sounds far fetched but he will not listen to me when I have confronted him and I do not like the fact he is spreading things online that are not true or still obsessing after I have moved on a long time ago. Any suggestions on how to handle this? Also, Is it legal to do that to someone online as long as they never use your actual name?

  2. I would change every password you have and be sure you have a firewall and antivirus protection on your computer.  I would then ignore him as long as he isn't actually using your name, and as long as he isn't doing anything illegal (using your name or SS# to open accounts, actually hacking into your accounts, etc.)  The fact that you've let him know this is bothering you is just giving him more fuel to continue doing what he's doing.  If your friends are truly your friends, they won't associate with this guy and won't talk to him - make that clear to your friends.  Change whatever information he has access to (email addresses, etc.) and basically wipe him out of your life for good.  If he is physically stalking you, contact the police & save any proof or information you happen upon just in case you need it (i.e. hit that print button).

  3. Find an Italian friend to take care of him.

Find a good hacker to turn the tables on him. Or at least have a really good computer guy/gal look at your computer to make sure he didn't put a backdoor hack in.

Remember, he's hoping to irk you, so even if it bothers you - don't let on that it does. Someone once said the opposite of love isn't hate - it's indifferent. Be indifferent.
