Not connecting to its IP

Question

The problem is what is described in the subject, I just simply cannot reach the modem as told to in the manual (192.168.1.1)My IP/subnet settings are correct, I tried with both usb and lan connections and even reset the model couple of times and restarted the computer. I am completely at loss :(
