I am interested in leaving the USA eventually and want to know where other people have traveled and what places, besides their current homes (which most people love), have captured their hearts enough to want to live there for the rest of their lives (or at least a long time...).

I'm not looking for a one-liner, so please let me know what you loved about the place and why you think it would make a good place to live. I'd really appreciate it!

  1. if it weren't for the hurricane seasons i would definately live in puerto rico. u.s. currency and english as a second language. definately somewhere not very established. somewhere near aguadilla.

  2. I haven't really traveled very much, The most I've traveled was out of state and that doesn't count in this question. But If I were to leave the country I would move to Japan. I have always been interested in Japan. I love their history, and their culture. Plus there's all kinds of things to do especially in Tokyo. Besides that, Japan's economy is better than the USA's economy. But that's the main reason why I want to live in Japan.

  3. I would consider living in two places.  The first is Australia, specifically the State of Queensland.  I am of British origin, but was raised in California.  That part of Australia is like a blend of British and California culture, perfect for me.  The second place I would live is Fiji, mainly because I love the remoteness and beauty and also because of how wonderful the people are.  We have made several strong friendships with local Fijians and I know we would feel comfortable there.  Plus, you could buy your own island - how cool is that!!
