Not getting my period on inactive pills with Yaz?

I have been on Yaz for just a month, I had unprotected s*x with my bf on the third week and during that time took my late and missed a day, etc. I hadn't seen him in three months so things just got a little crazy. Anyway, I am going on my third inactive pill and I only spotted for little bit and now it stopped. I never have light periods. I just want to know if I don't get it by the time I start the new pack should I take a pregnancy test? Thanks

It can be normal for the periods to get lighter on the pill.  Also, when starting out on the pill the period can be delayed for a time because the body is trying to adjust to being on the medication.  It can take up to 3 months to fully adjust to being on the medication.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say before taking a pregnancy test.
