Question:

Not issued tourist card at airport in Panama?

I am in Panama now and was not issued a tourist card at the airport. Was not aware I needed one. I am a U.S. citizen. Anyone have any experience about this situation? Leaving Panama this Thurs. Thanks for any help.

  1. dont worry about it, no one will ask you for one.  I am also an american and lived in Panama for almost 10 years and never had one and was never asked to show one.  They will not ask you for it when you on ur way back, unfortunelty Panamanians aren't as strick with immigration as Americans are.


  2. According to the U.S. Consular information sheet, you were supposed to purchase the tourist card from the airline...so they must have missed offering it to you.  You could call the airline and see if they can sell you one now if you go to their office at the airport.  Seems to me they would be your best resource.  See  website below.  Good luck.
