Not printing. i change the ink cartridge today but my printer canon pixma mx310 is not printing

i change the ink cartridge today but my printer canon pixma mx310 is not printing and it keep saying that the color ink is low.... what do i do? it only pull the paper out but doesnt print anything at all. it works only when im photocopying
