Question:

Not-so-common biblical names?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant, and found out at the ultrasound today that we're expecting a baby girl! We're thrilled!

All of our other children have biblical names, and we'd like to continue that with this one.

If you have some suggestions of not-so-common biblical names (Mary and Sarah for example, are pretty common) please share. I'm also alright with traditional male names given to girls (like Jordan, for example) - so if you can think of anything nifty, that'd be great.

My favorite from the list will win best answer - so you'll be awarded the points for offering the help.

Thanks!

  3. I love the name Ryan for a girl. Spelled Rhyan. If my last child, a boy, had been the girl his sister wanted, his name would have been,

    Rhyan Esther........

Nothing more biblical than Esther. Plus it was my mothers name and she was the greatest women in the world.  She died when I was 14 and I miss her just as much now as I did then. So it has a special meaning to me.

  10. I know a lot of ppl do double common names to make them common yet not common (such as Maryellen and Louanne and so on). So take two common bibical names and make them one name, like Saramarie. Its pretty and no one else would have it.
