lol title sounds funny, but seriously, when your just swimming across a pool, like making the big circles with your arms and kicking (not sure if theres a name for that lol) I wanna know the correct form of doing this. I'm guessing you don't turn your head all the way from side to side? like go one side then forward and breath when your turned toward your side? I know this question is really confusing but i wanna know, I seem to get a lot of water in my nose when I'm swimming like this lol I'm almost used to it

  1. Short answer: "Do it when your head's above water."

Long answer: "Turn your head to the side slightly, enough to where you can breathe. Don't thrash doing it, you'll lose speed."

  2. pilipino kanaman cguro no

itaas mo ang iyong ulo unti unti mag inhale ka ng oxgen pagkatapos pag na ka lubog na ung ulo mo sa 2big tsaka ka palang mag exhale pero sa bibig hindi sa ilong

  3. simply put, you're doing freestyle. the way to breathe for this stroke is of course side-breathing. as the name states, you breathe to the side. if you breathe to your right side, you turn your head to the side as your performing the arm stroke with your right arm. your face should be in the water WHILE blowing bubbles out of your nose when you're not breathing of course.

HINT: the arm that's in the front (assuming you're not just flailing your arms in circles) should stay in front to 'support' your head while you breathe.

  4. First off, never lift your head forward for freestyle as that only lowers the rest of the body.  (It makes the body want to go vertical)  Second, you need to learn to inhale through the mouth on the side and then gently exhale through the nose while face down.  This will solve the water in the nose problem.  The body actually rotates from side to side from the hips as a unit.  You are not to turn your neck to breathe but rather roll to the side.  finishing your arm stroke is important.  Meaning that the arm going backwards needs to finish past the thigh for balance.  One arm forward, one arm back.  Balance is key.  Most people do not finish their stroke and lift early and near the stomach causing poor balance.  Also important is timing when it comes to breathing.  As one arm goes forward you rotate and you need to roll back into the water as the backward arm comes forward.  Not after it is forward.  Kicking during your breath is important for momentum and balance.  I make swimmers kick on their side laying on one arm extended forward with the top arm resting at their side.  They kick their legs from side to side.  This aids in balancing when breathing.  The trick is to keep you head down (turned toward the sky to breathe obviously, but pressing downward on the forward arm to keep the body horizontal)  Most of the time people swim "uphill" due to poor head position and this needs to be corrected.  Good luck
