I have a test at the end of the month and i have to read this book California: The Diversity of Politics. I always find history interesting so reading is no problem. However, when it comes to taking notes, I'm not sure how to do it. I started reading the first 2 chapters but I feel like I'm writing the entire paragraph. It took me almost 45 minutes to read the first 3 pages and takes notes (I use a notebook, not a laptop). Does anyone recommend anything?

  2. I can honestly say that if it requires reading more than once do so.  I am a current college student and I do the same.  I often read twice and then take notes and use the dictionary on terms that is hard understanding.  Sometimes getting the definitions will break barriers.  I hope ia helps u and good luck...

  3. What I usually do is to read the chapter first, then go back and rewrite what I just read using my own words. After I'm done with my notes, I double check by reading the chapter again to make sure I understand it correctly...it takes time, but it sure will help me to absorb and remember what I just learn. Hope this helps ;)

  4. what u do is read 3 pages at once and close the book.. take notes of only the points u remember. i hope u will remember only the important points. i used to do that. hope this works for u.. if u r getting less points read the pages twice or thrice.. i hope i have helped.
