Not sure if baby dropped??

I'm at 37 weeks, and i'm not sure if my baby has dropped yet. Sometimes I feel his body on my left side and sometimes it switches to my right side. Can a dropped baby still roll around or is he usually locked in one position?

  1. it can still roll around but not like flip flops like it was doing, but even if you dropped it doesnt mean anything. I dropped at 38 weeks and didnt go into labour until I was 42 weeks 3 days.

  2. do you waddle? when my baby dropped i suddenly had that pregnancy waddle and felt a lot of pressure all the time. they are pretty much locked in there

  3. i am 37 weeks and went to the doc today and she said the baby dropped a bit and is head down, but the butt is still moving from one side to the other.  so i guess the baby can still roll over or switch sides to snuggle up on, but it's definitely lower in my pelvis also.  i think it will move less as it gets lower.  best of luck on your remaining weeks!!!

  4. Once the head is engaged in the pelvis the baby won't wiggle around like that. A good indication is if you can't breathe and then one day you can...then the baby has dropped :-)

  5. i had the same question with my son the doc said he was starting to drop but i'd feel him all over the place! all i can say is beware! my son was a pretty big boy! good luck to you
