Not sure if my last post was seen, so I'll say it again...Great game, and congrats to the Wings! My thoughts..

Question

Figured I'd repost in hopes of showing that not all us Pens fans are classless bandwagoners. Just wanted to comment on a few things, now that the series is over:

1.) The refs definately missed calls, but it went BOTH ways...over all, fair.

2.) Though a few soft goals got past him tonight, Fleury is a top 5 goalie.

3.) If the Pens DON'T find a way to resign Marian Hossa, I'll cry. He was consistently our best offensive player throughout the series, and the playoffs.

4.) Crosby looked possessed last game, and tired tonight...sadly, he didn't do a lot to contribute.

5.) Brooks Orpik will be (and is) an incredible defensman, as soon as he can effectively clear the zone.

6.) This series was a LOT closer than SoG, and other stats will show...I thought the Pens played better than they got credit for, other than Game 5, where credit was sort of, halfheartedly given.

7.) Zetterberg is incredible.

8.) Mike Babcock is an amazing coach, that doesn't get his due.

im glad the fans were chanting for FLEURY after the game...i cant believe that the last shot didnt go in, but it happens unfortunately... i fully agree with #6...even though i like the red wings, i gotta give a lot of respect for the pens...they played phenomenal

Crosby "didn't contricute" because he was constantly being triple-teamed. All the Pens' best players are under 25 and they'll be back to the Finals MANY more times.

Congrats, Wings. They are honestly the ONLY team that could take the Penguins, I think.

seems like the missed calls had a bigger impact on the wings

not calling the slash that sent lilja's stick flying with a minute left so he couldn't tie up hossa's stick led to a goal.

Maybe a repeat next year!!!! How sweet to beat the Pens two years in a row!!!!!!!! Detroit has to have at least one great team!!! Lions can't do it, Pistons have choked now two years in a row. The Tigers are in 4th place maybe????

Congrats to your club too.......you all should be very proud of them. There have been some very petty post here and I think its disrespect toward the Pens and true Pen fans....you guys gave us a run for our money. Hope to meet you on the ice again.

As for the Red Wings, the better team won the cup.
