  1. SHE NEEDS TO BE AROUND OTHER PEOPLE ANYWAY.

  2. My mom home schooled me for 2 years of Sr High and the public schools wouldn't except my grades from home schooling. ask the school if they will do a placement test. and go from there

  3. It is normal for 12 year old girls not to take mom's seriously. Yes, she is trying your will against hers. I am sure she would be fighting you with doing her public school  homework as well.

Let me ask this, who's idea was it to homeschool in the first place? If a child does not want to be homeschooled, they will flat out refuse to do the work. Including pushing every button they know you have to get you to give up and give into their wish to go to public school. Is this what is happening? Try looking out around your frustration. Homeschooling takes alot of dedication.

When first starting out in homeschooling, each family is different. Some get organized and into good schooling rythem in 3-6 months. Some it takes 2 years to get children to realize education is serious business.  Are you in a homeschooling group? If not, find one in your area. The homeschooling groups are there for each other, especially those just starting out.

If you really are ready to give in and give up by sending her back to public school, they will require her previous school records. Yes, because she is switching states and schools she will be tested for placement in her classes.

  4. they may test her, but as long as she's not very behind by her last grade completed standards she should get in just fine.  i would call the school department and ask how to go about it.

starting homeschooling at 12 is hard. if she is bored with school you should try again when she is a little more mature :)

  5. 1 1/2 months?  That's it?  Can I ask why you started in the first place?  Was it a whim or was there a serious reason behind it?  A lot of kids, especially at that age, can take a few months to transition from ps to hs.

I would highly doubt they would test her, it's more like she was on vacation then homeschooled.  She wasn't out of school long enough.
