Not trying to rub anything in, but how bad are the Cubs making the Brewers look in this series?

They've outscored this team 27-8 in this series (final game of the series still in the 8th). They won the Sabathiagame driving in 6, they won the Sheets game driving in 7, they won the Parra game driving in 7 and in the Bush game they currently have 7 runs. I know this team has a solid ball club and I'm not counting them out by any means, but can they really hang with the Cubs? Also Brewers fans, try to be honest, do you still think the Brewers have a better pitching staff?

Make that 29-8, Fukudome just hit a 2 run homer to make it 9-1.

See you are s******g up.  When my White Sox swept your team, I acted like my Sox beat the '27 Yankees.  You got to act like the Brew Crew is the NL version of the Angels or something.

The Question you should have asked is this,

"The Brewers before playing the Cubs were favored to possibly go to the World Series, now that the Cubs manhandled them, how great are the Chicago Cubs?

I'll say it again, Cubs 4-1 in the World Series over the Angels.

i love the cubbie fans...they lose three in a row and every cubbie rooter decries the woeful cubs, saying "all is lost--again!", and when they win they are invincible.....hey, cubbie fans--it's a long way to october, so enjoy the success the team is having. And hang in there when they lose a few. I hope they make it to the world series--really. Of course, my team is in the AL, so in the fall classic i will have to root against da cubs, but in the meantime, i wish them nothing but base hits and good pitching.

Everyone knows that the Cubs are the best team in the NL and the brewers just got hot. It won't last. The Brewers will drop back so the Cards will be who you have to worry about

And if I were a Brewers fan, I'd worry even more about the fact that the Cubs seem to have really gotten into the Brewer's heads. Gagne throws at Edmonds, Fielder busts a bat, then gets ejected. And lots of very frustrated looks in the Brewers dugout.

Well the cubs have been playing great and if they keep playing this well they will win the division, but if they choke then the brewers will win the division

the games are very embarrassing for the brewers, especially if they want to win the National League Central Division.  I mean seriously, they are getting killed, swept actually, in their own town. I think the Brewers are definitely not bad but they need to perform to get to the postseason.

Yeah, there's something seriously wrong with the Brewers.  It's not just the Cubs that are playing good against them, the Brewers have been doing terrible this entire homestand.

They can't hit, they can't pitch, and they can't play defense this series.

For the first time this season, I'm looking forward to playing on the road, and that's saying something considering how good the Brewers were at home earlier this season.

No, the Brewers don't have the better pitching staff.  I think it goes Cubs, Brewers, and D-Backs in that order.

EDIT: I forgot to add that I DO think that the Brewers will be there for the rest of the season, just winning the wildcard.

To be honest, I thought this series would be a split when it was over but I give credit to the Cubs for sweeping the Brewers on the road & I hope no Cub fans are looking to far ahead like the World Series cause even though they have a 5 game lead, it's still not over just yet so I would celebrate this series but not get over zealous & think the NL Central race is over.  It's going to be a good race til the end of the season & that's my opinion

Very Bad Maybe this is Payback for the Brewers making the Cardinals look Bad Last Week, The Brew Crew will get out of their Slump and win some more Games in August, Payback against the Cubs last Weekend in September.

The biggest thing to note here is that the Cubs are doing this on the road, but remember, so far this year the Brewers are beating the Cubs head to head in Wrigley, and the Cubs are beating the Brewers head to head in Milwaukee. It's ironic how that turned out but you never know. The Brewers are a good team but they need to get a fast turn around if they want to catch the Cubs. I personally don't see it happening after watching this series.
