Is it true that not wearing glasses improves vision? My sister had glasses in 2nd grade and never wore them and in 6th grade her vision was perfect. Does that work for everyone?

  2. i dont think so. I am so dam nearsighted i could not find a doorknob without my glasses. Not wearing them can make your eyes weaker. wise up wear the glasses.

  3. i think it does work for sum but its not good becuz ur forcing ur vsion my sister and me had the same prescription and i neva wore mine and she did and wen we went to the doctor i still got the same prescription but she had got a stronger 1, but wen i think about how frustrated i got wen i couldnt tell sum1z face from far or see words i didnt want that anymore so i got contacts instead of glasses

  4. Actually it makes you more blind then you are not using glasses and that was when she was little but once your old your trying to force yourself to see whats far from reach, and that's how you get blinder.

  5. NO not correcting your vision could cause the muscles to strain so badly that it brings on presbyopia at an earlier age.  Presbyopia is when you need reading glasses around the age of 42....but everyones eyes are different and they change throughout the years..ur sister got lucky! hers got better!

  6. Your eyes will grow and change as you grow.  How your eyes develop is mostly genetics.  Putting lenses in front of them or not will not worsen them or make them better.  It just focuses light in your eye where it needs to be for you to see clearly.

  7. I think this would depend on the individual.  I've had a student who did wear glasses in Kindergarten and hasn't worn it since.  He's now in the 6th grade and his eyes are fine without glasses.  I am a skeptic when it comes to glasses.  I am 33 years old and have never worn glasses or contacts.
