Notarization for Certificate of Attendance, but my school is closed for the summer?!!?

I'm supposed to be getting my license in the next few days, but I completely forgot about getting my certificate of attendance notarized before my school closed for the summer. Is there any way that I can get it notarized at the board of education? I have the certificate filled out already, it just isn't notarized. They should be able to do that, right?

  1. Notarized means the signature is witnessed by a lawyer.  You would have to call the school board to see if they even have access to the records to allow them to have it notarized.  Most schools actually aren't totally closed, there are adult classes, community programmes, etc.  Phone the office in your school and leave a message on the machine if nobody is in.  One of the school secretary, vice-principal, or principal is likely in the office at least part of the time, and should be able to help.  You can also call the DMV for guidance, this has likely come up before.

    Good luck.
