  1. 18

  2. You have to be 18 to sign a contract or agreement. Usually that is what you are getting notarized.

Yes, you need an id. The notary has to be able to confirm you are who you say you are and watch you sign the document.

  3. I dont know if there is a Age limit on getting something Notarized , But Yes you do have to have a Valid State ID.

  4. you don't have to be a certain age to get something notarized, but you can't enter into a binding agreement if you're not 18 so I don't see the difference of whether or not it's notarized.

  5. The notary needs a solid proof to identify you.  That is the value of the notarization:  the notary has taken the time to be sure it's really you.  A government ID like a passport or driver's license with your picture is good.

The notary needs to be convinced you understand what you are signing.  So the requirement is not so much in terms of age, but of understanding.  A 16 year old who understands what he is signing, can get it notarized;  a 21 year old who is drunk and doesn't understand, should not be able to get a notarization.
