Question:

Notarized letter for Jamaica?

My daughter just obtained her passport that included a notarized form required for the absent parent - her father (we are divorced). Do we need a notarized letter from her father to enter Jamaica even though he submitted the notarized form for her passport?

  1. You may not get asked for it but it's better to be safe than sorry. I brought one with me when I went to Jamaica alone with my son.

There's a letter you can copy, fill in, and get notarized. They just don't want parents fleeing with children to other countries..

I was never asked for it, but I prefer to have it than be asked for it and told I can't go because I don't have one.

    Good Luck!
