Is it possible in my computer to upgrade to 4GB or RAM, i have 2 GB now. It is a HP pavillion notebook dv8230us, it takes DDR2 533 modules, and like most notebooks has two slots. Just asking cus when I run the kingston memeory conifguraor it ways that 2GB is max, but I see 2GB modules.

  1. if ur motherboard supports it yes, but if u only have a 32bit os u will only be able to read 3.3gbs so unless u have a 64bit os its a waste, get one 2gb stick and a 1 gb stick n u should be set if u have a normal 32bit os

  2. Log into www.crucial.com and scan the system

  3. it depends. is it a 62 operating system or a 32? 32 bit only allows up to 3gb and 62 allows to 8gb. u can check in control panel, system maintenance, system and u will see it.
