Question:

Notebook screen running at wrong resolution?

I recently reset my notebook and now it is running at 1600x1200, but before I reset it, it was running at 1920x1200. I don't know why this happened and everything looks stretched at every other resolution it allows me as well. Any solutions? If it helps, I was playing a game that was messing up when I restarted.

  1. Can you check is the graphics driver properly loaded... Some time if you dont install proper driver for graphics you wont get the expected the resolution

    Gud Luck

  2. Reinstall your video driver and it should reset the resolutions.

Then you should be able to select 1920x1200 again.

  3. Have you tried to right click the desktop and select properties then the tab on the right, Should be screen resolution, You can change it there. If that dont work try uninstalling the game and then reboot. If that dont work go to the device manager and locate your video driver, and update it or roll it back, Not sure about vista, But thats what we would do on XP.

  4. First off, nice notebook lol, extremely high resolution, thats 1080p HD. Go to start>Control Panel>Appearence and Personalization and move the screen resolution slider to the right.
