All of a sudden one day the notebook started to run on the battery while it was plugged in. At the same time it started to smell like burning plastic, but no smoke. I shut it down as quick as I could. The next day i started it up but it was once again running on the battery, and the battery was not getting charged. Everytime I plugged it into the outlet it made that smell. I bought a Targus AC70U, thinking it was the stock power cord, but the notebook still smells with the Targus. The new Targus doesn't charge the battery either. Any solutions?I've got a Packard Bell Easynote MX45.My adaptor broke so I bought a universal adaptor, but while I was using it, the removable charger head came loose, so I plugged it in again. It started to smell like it was burning and hasnt worked since. I sit the charger or the laptop
