Notepad++ php problem?

Question

I found a code for notepad++ online. I pasted it, and saved it as a PHP file. I tried to run it in PHP.exe, and Command Prompt. It didn't work both times. Everybody else said that the code worked fine for them. i am using vista. Whats wrong. (Same thing happened to every other code that i tried to use.)
