  1. Agriculture is a part and parcel of science.Without agriculture and proper guidance received from science we should be thriving for our life.

  2. This site should give your daughter exactly what she needs to prepare her project.   Good Luck

  3. 1. science has helped farmers in testing the soil & selecting the  quality, high yielding grains.

    2. Agricultural implements like the  plough, harrows, power tiller, tractors, mechanical harvesters have increased the efficiency.& speed.

    3. use of chemical fertilisers,& biofertilisers have increased the yield.

4.organic farming & vermi -compost (earth worms) have increased the fertility of the soil.

    5. pesticides & insecticides are sprayed to protect the crops.

6.irrigation methods have been with sprinklers & drip irrigation

    7. Multipurpose river projects have improved  water & power supply.

8.grains are stored in gunny bags in   godowns.

charts` are available for agricultural implements, farming methods. models of drip irrigation & agricultural  implements can be added to the project

  4. All of agriculture has benefited and been affected by science. No facet has been left untouched. If one has to look at any one thing in search of a project, in something so vast, one idea would be to look at hydroponics (a favorite of mine) not only as a source of food here and now in a HUGE way (and due to feed the future in space more than likely), but it is also a great tool in research of plants. Because it affords a way to control every aspect of plant growth, it is the one perfect medium for research. Regardless of whether one wants to produce, lets say, a perfectly controlled crop of tomatoes, have a little hobby greenhouse, or research controls for tomato plant disease or deficiency, science has provided what was originally a research tool, to all levels of production and research, big and small, and right in your own home.

  5. visit www.philrice.gov.ph you can find info's of science in agriculture there

  6. You should have mentioned the class in which your daughter is studying so that the write up can be made accordingly.  However, I think you can use the following:

Agriculture is the backbone of humanity, civilisation, economic prosperity and above all good living. When human beings started a settled life along the banks of rivers, they resorted to farming and agriculture and the nature taught them the methods of cultivation.  However, their urge to learn more and improve upon the yield, farmers looked upon ways and means to support them.  Scientific knowledge gave them solutions in pest management, use of fertilizers, scientific farming, crop management, warehousing and storage and all areas of agriculture.  As a result, the yield per acre increased substantially and India even witnessed a Green Revolution in the agricultural field. Agriculture provided employment to millions of people directly and indirectly. India became self sufficient in food articles only because of application of science based skills and knowledge in agriculture. Government of India gives utmost priority to agriculture sector and have established various research centres for agriculture such as Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICRISAT) CFTRI etc. Now science is an integral part of our Agriculture and economy thereto.
