Question:

Nothing happens when I turn my digital camera on?

I have a 5+yr-old Kodak Easy Share. Its been charging for almost an entire week. When I dock it, the last picture I took (like 3 weeks ago) shows up on the screen. When I take it off the dock thing, and TRY to turn it on nothing happens.

What could be causing this? Should I get it fixed or just buy a new digital camera?

  1. Maybe your rechargeable battery is bad. You can probably take it to a local Radio Shak and they can tell you, or maybe some electronics place like it. Good luck.

  2. This is because the battery is not holding a charge. Considering the camera is 5 years old, I personally would buy a new one. Yes, the new battery would be cheaper, but there is always the off-chance that it isn't the battery. I see this a lot where I work (professional camera technician) people say it's the battery and it's something completely different. I would NOT send it to a repair facility. It will be much cheaper to buy a new camera. If you have any further questions, feel free to email me. I would be more than glad to help.

  3. Sometimes getting it fixed costs more than getting a new one. I would suggest getting a new one.

  4. get a new camera
