Nothing making more appeal than Noverre To Go in Ringside Conference Suite - 700 Theatre Style Claiming Stakes at Wolverhampton
There are many to consider in Friday’s Ringside Conference Suite - 700 Theatre Style Claiming Stakes at Wolverhampton, but no contestant looks more appealing than Noverre To Go.
The 6-year-old has a wonderful track record at this venue. It is going to be his second appearance at the bottom level. He was an easy winner on his sole trip in this class.
Trained by Ronald Harris, the gelding is not one of the consistent runners around. He made a couple of excellent outings in July, but failed to continue the good work thereafter. After a classy win at Kempton, he seized the runner-up spot in a very tough
competition at Newmarket.
He was expected to carry forward his fine work to produce more positive results, but nothing good came to him. The son of Noverre suffered two consecutive defeats at Goodwood. He showed some improvement at Kempton in August, but again lost his rhythm at
Royal Ascot.
On his latest outing here, the Robert & Nina Bailey-owned was sixth behind Doctor Parkes. Although he failed to get a notable place last time, his effort had a lot of good aspects.
Inconsistency is surely a huge concern, but we expect Noverre To Go to do fine at this level. Stepping down to this level should work as a morale booster for the dangerous fellow, who is unlikely to find today’s opposition any difficult.
A line-up of a dozen quality horses is waiting for Noverre To Go. As per the schedule, the class 6 contest will be kicked off at 18:15 GMT. It will be run over five furlongs and 216 yards, and the victor will get a prize worth £1,704.
Alaskan Bullet has been struggling since a summer break. This is a lot easier, but still one will have to see whether he settles down. Courageous likes it here, but an unfavourable draw is a huge issue.
Noverre To Go, who likes this surface, is enjoying a handy draw. He has plenty in his favour over this distance, and should not disappoint his supporters. Good luck to all the horses.
