  1. take duclax.

    eat watermelon

  2. add some probiotics to your diet, either in supplement form or by eating yogurt daily, the kind that promotes digestive health. if you are consuming lots of fiber, make sure you are drinking plenty of water. digestive enzymes may help, if food is not being properly digested it can be a cause of constipation. Check to see if there is a holistic/alternative health practitioner in your area, they are very good with this type of thing

  3. See your doctor, you are very under weight for your height.

  4. try mineral oil regularly, it isnt as harsh as a laxative.

some sort of brand such as with rasins in it might help too

  5. I feel for you - and know exactly what you are going through as I have it myself.  You might have what is called IBS with constipation.  Stress can bring it on, as well as diet.  Here is what my doctor said for me:  avoid gum, mints, or anything that contains "sorbitol" - this can create all kinds of problems with your digestive system and will definitely make you bloated.  Eat 3 fresh fruits with skins and 3 vegetables, preferably raw, every day.  Drink at least 64 ounces of water every day.  Avoid soda and coffee.  As for juice, the only juice that really will help is prune juice but it's most important to drink water!!  Keep a diary of everything you eat and look for patterns - you might find some foods make you conspitated more than others.  Try to avoid too many prepared foods - these tend to have artificial ingredients which will bother a sensitive system.  Avoid too many ingredients - stick to simple recipes and don't "mix" too many different kinds of food in one meal.  Eat smaller meals, also.  Avoid laxatives!!!!  They will make consipation worse because your body becomes dependent on them.

  6. I have had the same issues from a young age as well.  First off stay away from all sodas and fried foods.  Secondly, chew your food alot before swallowing it.  And lastly, do not take laxcetives, it kills your digestive system.

  7. try prune juice..... its not nice but it works:) gd luck

  8. If you eat alot of fiber you have to drink A LOT of water, it helps... I am a very constipated person myself and what the doctors gave me didn't work either.....What did work for me was this natural fiber powder they sell in the herbalife catalog....they also have fiber pills but you should be fine with the fiber. . its a natural self activating fiber and it works miracles, i should know, nothing else worked for me. Try it and let me know! Good luck!!!!

  9. Your doctor says its not your diet, but did your doctor tell you what it is?  Does your doctor even know what is causing you this discomfort?  Nine times out of ten constipation is caused by something in the diet.

I recommend keeping a diet diary.  Write down everything you eat for a week.  Also write down any symptoms you feel throughout the day (constipation, bloating, discomfort, etc).  Once you have your weeks worth of data, look it over and see when your symptoms were the worst.  Try to see if any foods you're eating seem to be causing your symptoms.

Next, eliminate the suspected foods from your diet one at a time for at least 3 weeks.  If you symptoms improve then you know what food may be causing you the discomfort.

Please note that the top food sensitivities are caused by: dairy (milk, cheese), wheat (gluten), eggs, and nuts.

Also instead of taking laxatives and bulk fiber I'd suggest drinking lots of water, keep eating plenty of fruits, and eat lots of raw vegetables.

Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers.
