Question:

Notify mortgage lender if employment has just changed?

My husband and I are in the process of finalizing our CHFA home loan, and are certain we will be officially approved very shortly. The problem is that my husband JUST accepted a new job offer. The pay is almost identical and in fact better because of all the potential overtime, but we are afraid to notify the lender for fear of this change affecting our loan status. The lender has already verified our employment. Should we keep our mouths shut, or will this come back to bite us if we do??

  1. In my opinion I wouldn't because you mentioned the pay is identical. If it were way less than yes but the same or more...I would not see why that would matter.

  2. my suggesting would be getting as much information as you can before taking any action, here is a good place for that purpose.http://home-mortgage.online-tips4u.info/...

  3. Ask your lawyer, if you have one.   Personally, I would not notify them, and do not feel you are deceiving them in any way.
