Notifying DMV?

Do I need to notify DMV when I do a vehicle address change. I recently moved from VA to TX....I already have the texan plates, but I still have the VA plates. Am I suppose to notify DMV or should they already know since they gave me the texan plates?

You may want to contact the DMV in Va.  It can take a long while for one state to have info on a vehicle transfered to another state.  Each state is different and are not connected with one another.

old plates are good untill you cancel or they expire
