Notmstarting or stopping possible cycling issue

Question

I have a Maytag Dishwasher model MDB5100AWWIt will start to wash but will not cycle through and will not turn off unless I turn it off. I then need to drain it and it will do this but it will not stop trying to drain, thus I need to turn this function off as well.When it is not running the motor will hum about every 20 minutes for about 15 seconds and then stop. The motor itself will get hot to the touch during this action
