Question:

Notre Dame Help Please!!!!!?

I have now determined that Notre Dame is the ONLY school for me. Please don't say there is not ONE right college for a person because Notre Dame is PERFECT for me. no exaggeration, name something you think is a fault and I will say how it suits me. anyways, I will do anything to get my foot in the door. Everything is up to snuff when is comes to my transcript, I am well rounded, good grades, etc. . BUT, my SAT scores are way WAY too low because to say it plainly, I am a wretched test taker. If you have any NEW or peculiar advice about achieving a good SAT score (not the regular Princeton review techniques, vocab builder, etc.) please tell me. Also, if you have any tips on getting in, it would be much appreciated. Please though, don't tell me about the outstanding essay I need to write and the volunteer work I need to do. I need NEW information. I know this sounds way, way, bratty but I am freaking out because I feel my SAT scores are not allowing me to contend properly. Thanks A Lot

  1. Ok ok, take a deep breath and chill! As a Wake Forest freshman myself, I had the similar kind of worries that you are having. Here are some suggestions that you should consider:

1). You still have chances to retake it. Yes, I know that admissions people will see your previous scores but a big improvement could really shake things up. Improving greatly is not easy, but nothing is impossible, right! I took the SAT 2 types in my senior year and I improved a lot! They key is to STUDY really hard. If you have already studied your butt off, then...

2). How about the ACT, you might able to improve or do good on that!

3). Here are some colleges that are similar to ND,

    Boston College

    Wake Forest

    Lehigh

    Why not try those!

4). Nothing is perfect, I REPEAT, nothing is perfect. When you actually get into that school, you will soon realize that every school has its imperfections and flaws. Trust me!

5). Don't forget to apply to your backups schools, you should get a lot of scholarships for some nonprestigious schools that seek to recruit good students.

6). When you apply, tell them that you are worried about your test score, but you have tried reallly hard.
