Another match in the English county that was hit by rain in the first three days of its beginning, suffered a no result on its fourth day as Nottinghamshire failed to reach the required target of 351 runs set by Lancashire after they declared their innings by posting 350 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets after batting their first innings for the first three days at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
The day began with Lancashire resuming their first innings from 321 for the loss of nine wickets with KW Hogg on 44 and SC Kerrigan on 22.
The last two batsmen knew that they could turn the tables around by launching a fiery batting onslaught in order to post as many runs possible in the earlier part of the day and then invite the other side to bat.
Nottinghamshire bowlers on the other hand, failed to actually cause some serious problems for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lancashire-c806 batting duo as they got smacked all around the park.
