  1. If I knew the dates you'd be here, and your kids ages I could be of more assistance! However, if you've got three days and you're starting in Yarmouth, I'd suggest a drive through the Annapolis Valley. It's a beautiful drive and you could go to Upper Clements Park. It's a small (very small!!!) amusement park, but if your kids are younger, they'll probably enjoy it. You could also go tubing just outside of Wolfville down the Gaspereau River. You could also go to Shubenacadie and go Tidal Bore Rafting! Halifax is the main city, so if your kids prefer shopping to outdoorsy stuff, you would probably want to hit up the city (small as it is, it's got a great waterfront area--check out the Harbour Hopper). Just outside New Glasgow there's a beautiful beach called Melmerby. If you're around at the right time, New Glasgow also has a weekend music festival on the riverfront called the Riverfront Jubiliee. Cape Breton is very nice, but a long drive and it's more of a scenic thing to see, so your kids might get bored..anyway, check out the links I'll provide you with.
